The Only Exception é uma musica da banda Paramore que foi muito pedidas em várias rádios de várias cidades esses tempos. A música é feita por uma fraca melodia, que foi muito elogiada pelos críticos, que gostaram muito do vocal de Hayley Williams ela soube aproveitar muito a letra da canção, pois "The Only Exception" é um tipo muito diferente dos tipos de musicas que a banda e costumada fazer, o vídeo da musica a cantora é vista como uma pessoa que não acredita no amor, pois seus pais quando a moça era jovem, se separaram por falta de confiança um ao outro, mais depois de algumas coisas que ocorreram em sua vida a moça muda sua visão pelo amor, e começa se apaixonar por alguém. Mais já os outros participantes da banda, só aparecem em poucas cenas, que estão tocando e cantando, como já foi dito a canção repercutiu muito em todas as rádios do mundo todo, e ganhou a premiação do Grammy na categoria de melhor performance pop, que é integrada por um Duo ou com um grupo de vocais.
